DESCRIPTION
Sensor for the measurement of precipitation with collection surface of 1000cm2, realized in aluminum alloy with anodizing treatment for protection against salt and oxidizing agents. According to WMO norms for environmental monitoring. Measurement system with knife blade support for tilting bucket in stainless steel with a special system to reduce friction, for ensuring high accuracy over the entire measuring range. An innovative heating system patented by Nesa, with a sensor that discriminates among rain snow or hail, allows him to have extreme-limited consumption (<30W @ 12Vdc) while maintaining the ability to melt snow and ice as in others models that consume more, up to five times as much. A particular system of testing and calibration guarantees the functionality of the instrument for long time. Due to the low power consumption, it can work with photovoltaic panels where is not possible to have other primary supply (ex. high mountain).
